The drama tells the story of two young men and women falling in love, but unfortunately because of family hatred, the two finally reconciled.Today, the protagonist of the drama is considered to be a typical example of young lovers. Romeo and Juliet belong to the traditional love tragedy, and their background can be traced back to ancient times.

The drama is based on the Italian story, translated by Arthur Brooke into "The Tragic History of Romeos and Juliet" in 1562 , and was written in a prose by William Pinter in 1567 The method was rewritten as "Pleasure Palace".Shakespeare used poetic theatrical structure, especially switching the drama back and forth between comedy and tragedy, which increased the tension. He enhanced the supporting role and used secondary plots to moisten the story. Dramas reflect different styles due to different roles, and sometimes change as the roles grow.
