The plot revolves around these four roles: Moselle Othello serving the Venetian forces; wife Desdemona; lieutenant general Cassio; and the flag officer Iago who deceived him. Due to the ups and downs of the drama, involving race, love, jealousy, and betrayal, "Othello" is still often staged today, and provides a creative basis for many works.
"Othello: The Moor of Venice" is a tragedy created by British dramatist Shakespeare around 1603. The play is believed to have been adapted from the Italian short story "Un Capitano Moro", which was written by Giovanni Bocciu's disciple Giraldi Cinzio and was written in 1565 publishing.
