"King Lear"  is one of William Shakespeare's famous tragedies. Because of the flattery of the two daughters, King Lear gave their property to them, with tragic consequences. The play was written in 1605, and the story tells the story of a legendary King Lear of Britain before the Roman era. Historical records, poems, and plays about the king existed before the time of Shakespeare. An early version of Shakespeare's "The True History of King Lear's Life and His Three Daughters" was published in the form of a quartet in 1608.

After the Puritan revolution, theaters often disliked the nihilism in this work, so they generally adapted it when it was staged. But after the Second World War this work was generally recognized as Shakespeare's greatest creation.

Tragedy is characterized by exploring the relationship between human misfortune and relatives. Bernard Shaw once wrote: "No one can write a more tragic drama than" Lear ".
